Our Counseling Practice

Many people are waiting and wondering what is going on in their relationships and families.  Some have been blindsided by experiences that they have not been prepared for while others are doing well but want to make sure they maintain the proper course. 

 

The Covenant Counseling Center provides support for all of those types of situations.

We provide resources to help maintain your relationship but sharing ways to improve communication skills and conflict resolution skills.  We also provide support in more serious and emergent relationship situations.

Dr. Monica Clayton, LMFT

Dr. Clayton is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has been a counselor for over 15 years. For many years, she also worked closely with the local University's participation in a National  Marriage Education Initiative and as a Marriage Education Facilitator by providing marital education courses to low-income families in the community. She is also a certified PREPARE/ENRICH premarital and marital enrichment counselor as well as a Certified 'PAIRS' Leader/ Instructor for marital enrichment and emotional literacy and intimacy and is also a Certified PREP, Relationship Enhancement and Divorce Prevention Program facilitator.

 

Additionally, Monica has an extensive history of working with children and adolescents.  As a former OCPS ESE Educator, Monica truly understands the struggles that many parents face, especially those with special needs. She also has specialized training in sexual abuse trauma treatment and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy.
